Nicki Minaj has plenty to celebrate today!
The rapper has just scored her first million selling single in the UK, with her 2012 hit ‘Starships’ finally passing the huge sales milestone.
It becomes the 166th single to sell over a million copies in the UK since records began.
‘Starships’ – produced by Lady Gaga collaborator RedOne – was the lead single for Minaj’s second studio album titled Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
Although ‘Starships’ is a huge seller in the United Kingdom, it actually narrowly missed out on the top spot, ultimately settling for No.2 on the Official Chart.
It was held off by Gotye’s one-hit wonder ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’, which has also surpassed the million sales mark.
