Premier League leaders Chelsea have reportedly told Real Madrid that Belgian star Eden Hazard will cost them a world-record £102m.
Spanish outlet Don Balon say the two European giants have been holding talks about the brilliant Belgian. Hazard is beleived to be Real’s No.1 transfer target this summer with boss Zinedine Zidane a big fan of the former Lille man.
But they will not be held to ransom and want to do a deal worth £68m. Real want to include Alvaro Morata in the transfer and they value him at £42m.
However, it is extremely unlikely Chelsea will do a deal for Hazard that includes Morata plus just £26m to reach Real’s valuation.
That is the Madrid side’s dream deal, but Roman Abramovich will surely demand a huge fee for Hazard – with or without Morata and it appears the player’s intentions will play a big part in the deal.
If he publicly comes ask for a move, that move will strengthen Madrid’s position and Chelsea could be forced to cash in.
But the forward insists he is happy in London and nothing at the moment from his interviews suggests he wants to head to Spain.
