Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation, has alleged that the $50million found in a Lagos apartment by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), belongs to the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi.
He made this known on his official Twitter handle on Friday.
Fani-Kayode also dismissed reports that the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) owns the the money.
The former Minister insisted that the flat where the money was found belongs to the former Rivers governor.
”The $43 million is Rotimi Amaechi’s. He owns the flat it was found in too. NIA story is fake news! NIA does not keep cash in Minister’s flats!” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Lere Olayinka, the media aide to Governor Fayose of Ekiti, also claimed that the money belongs to Amaechi.
”Just hearing with one ear that Amaechi may have link to the House.
”Cover up game has started! Rotimi Amaechi owns the house,” he wrote on twitter.
