Super talented Nigerian-British actress, Wunmi Mosaku, has won the best-supporting actress award at the 2017 BAFTA TV awards.
Wunmi clinched the award on Sunday for her role in ‘Damilola, Our Loved Boy’, after a tight competition with Sioban Finneran, Vanessa Kirby and Nicola Walker.
The beautiful Nigerian-born actress relocated to Manchester in England and bagged a degree from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2007.
Her first movie role was in The Great Theatre of the World, a movie from the stables of Pedro Calderon de la Barca’s. Her other appearances include the epoch-making event which was hosted by Sue Perkins and Batman Vs Superman, Dawn of Justice. She also played the role of Malia in 2010’s ‘I Am Slave’.
The movie ‘Damilola, Our Loved Boy’, produced by BBC1’s Happy Valley and one-off BBC drama, had three nominations.
