Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II on Tuesday called on both State and Federal Governments to enlighten Nigerians on importance of living in peace.
Sanusi stated this at an event tagged: ‘Traditional Hawan Nasarawa’ at the Government House, Kano.
He said the citizens need to know the importance of living in peace with one another irrespective of their religious or ethnic affiliations.
The Emir also urged Muslims across the country to practice the lessons of Ramadan for peace to continue to reign in the country.
Sanusi called on the state government led by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje to provide pesticides to farmers whose crops were affected by insects and pests in some local government areas in the state.
The royal father also called on the government to ensure sanitation in order to avoid flooding.
