France midfielder Blaise Matuidi is on the verge of joining Juventus after completing his medicals with the Serie A champions.
He could be available for the Bianconeri’s league opener against Cagliari and will in all likelihood choose the number 14 jersey he wore at Paris Saint Germain.
Juventus reportedly paid 20 million Euros for Matuidi who is expected to sign a three-year deal.
He will become Massimiliano Allegri’s 10th summer signing, following the signatures of Federico Bernardeschi, Juan Cuadrado, Douglas Costa and Wojciech Szczesny, among others.
It has been a somewhat turbulent summer at Juventus too with Allegri allowing the central defender Leonardo Bonucci to leave the club and join Milan in a £35.2m deal after the two fell out at the end of last season.
