Ondo state government is set to begin full-scale reconstruction of the roads as the dry season beckons.
The state government expressed its readiness to take advantage of the dry spell assured of the season to fix dilapidated roads across the three senatorial districts in the state.
The state’s Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Taofiq Abdulsalam disclosed the government plan to embark on this development.
He also revealed, as soon as the rains subside, would embark on “Operation zero tolerance for portholes”, a rehabilitation programme of all major roads.
Abdulsalam stated the Akeredolu-led executive government’s plan to ease the plight of farmers in rural areas by opening up rural roads to aid the movement of their produce while other amenities would also be provided.
