Former Enyimba coach Gbenga Ogunbote has penned a deal with Rangers, the club has announced.
Ogunbote will now replace Sylvanus Okpala, whose two-month stop-gap managerial role will run out on Wednesday.
“Ogunbote has signed as Rangers new coach.
“He will resume in the first week of November when Sylvanus Okpalla’s two-month deal would have expired.” an official of the Enugu State sports ministry said.
The official also said the details of the contract will be revealed this week.
He has previously handled Sunshine Stars, Giwa FC, and Shooting Stars.
Ogunbote had earlier told newsmen that he is in talks with the Enugu state government about taking over the reins from caretaker coach Okpala.
