President Muhammadu Buhari will attend the 59th independence day anniversary of neighbouring Republic of Niger, his media aide said on Sunday.
The event is held yearly on 18 December, to commemorate the founding of the West African country and creation of its Presidency.
And the Nigerian leader, alongside the Presidents of Mali, Burkina Faso, Chad, and Mauritania, would attend the historic occasion, according to a statement issued on Sunday by Garba Shehu.
Shehu said Buhari would return to Nigeria same day after holding bilateral meetings with some African heads of state.
Buhari would be accompanied by governors Aminu Masari, Ibrahim Gaidam and Kashim Shettima.
