Deportivo de La Coruña have sacked coach Cristóbal Parralo following Friday night’s 5-0 hammering at the hands of Real Sociedad.
Parralo only took over from Pepe Mel in October but he leaves the club languishing in 18th in La Liga, having won just three of his 15 matches in charge.
In a statement posted on social media on Sunday morning, the Branquiazuis thanked the 50-year-old for “his effort, dedication and work” during his tenure at Abanca-Riazor.
According to Spanish outlet Cadena COPE, former player Martín Lasarte – who coached Real Sociedad between 2009-2011 – could be installed as Parralo’s successor in the coming days.
