Nigeria’s former military leader Ibrahim Babangida popular know as IBB, has said that the present leadership of the country does not have vision and focus.
Babangida said this on Tuesday as former Kigawa State Governor Sule Lamido visited him in Minna, the Niger State capital.
The visit was part of Lamido’s consultations as he seeks election as the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to Babangida, the nation needs a leader with the same passion as Lamido, stressing that the former minister is a blessing to Nigeria.
“Sule,” Babangida said, “Nigeria will be great because you are a student of the late Malam Aminu Kano, who sees and perceive life as a struggle for the emancipation of the common man.
“Nigeria needs your kind of leader because the current leadership has lost focus, vision, and courage to lead Nigeria to the promised land.
“Today in Nigeria, a brother killing a brother, kidnapping, hunger everywhere, we need to stand up and unite ourselves to rescue Nigeria come 2019.”
