Junaid Mohammed, the running mate to Donald Duke who is presidential candidate under Social Democratic Party (SDP) has stepped down from the 2019 presidential race.
According to the Punch, Junaid stepped down due to “many hassles of the SDP.”.
The second republic lawmaker is known as a fiercest critics of President Muhammadu Buhari since he assumed power in 2015.
He also revealed that he has stepped down as the deputy national chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) which he said to have written letters to the chairman of the party, Olu Falae; and Donald Duke.
In his words;
“It is true. I stepped down a while ago because of the many hassles.
“I also resigned as deputy national chairman. I have written to Chief Olu Falae and Mr. Donald Duke. However, I have not resigned from the party.”
When asked if he would be supporting President Muhammadu Buhari to ‘take Nigeria to the next level’, Junaid laughingly responded, “You know I will never do such.”
