Kolapo Olusola-Eleka, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti state, has challenged the ruling of court of appeal which upheld the victory of Kayode Fayemi, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as governor of the state.
Okay Nigeria reported on a court of appeal sitting in Abuja unanimously struck out the case of the Peoples Democratic Party Governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Olusola Eleka and upheld Dr Kayode Fayemi of the APC as a duly elected governor of the state.
However, reacting to the ruling , Olusola-Eleka vowed to challenge it at the Supreme Court.
Olusola-Eleka expressed regrets at the manner in which the Appeal Court dismissed his appeal, saying that it suggested that “our democracy is endangered”.
“The judiciary is being gagged and justices are constantly being molested and persecuted,” he said.
“Let us remain prayerful, it is not over, until it’s over. I have hope in the judiciary and I strongly believe that in the end, justice will be served, ” Olusola-Eleka stated.
