The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has won all the four House of Assembly seats in the supplementary and re-run elections in Rivers state.
Okay Nigeria recalls that Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had cancelled the Assembly elections held on March 9, 2019 on grounds of violence in Abua/Odual, Ahoada West, Gokana and Opobo/Nkoro LGA in the state
However, Sokolo Solomon, the candidate of the PDP, was declared winner with 55, 944 votes.
Also, Okpokiri Nwanaka, running on the platform of PDP, won the election in Ahoada West LGA after polling 32,574 votes.
Furthermore, Dumle Maol clinched the seat for Gokana with 55,319 votes.
Lastly, with 7,713 votes Adonye Diri won Opobo/Nkoro constituency seat.
