The House of Representatives has launched an investigation into the invasion of court by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) in the move to re-arrest the convener of the #RevolutionNow protests, Omoyele Sowore.
At the plenary on Tuesday, the Minority Leader, Ndudi Elumelu raised the motion, stating that what happened in the court was an abuse of the sanctity of the court.
Elumelu described the action of the DSS as “one arm of government attempting to overpower another, which will spell doom for the country’s democracy.”
Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila then referred the matter to the relevant committees for investigation.
