The Spanish La Liga has gotten approval from the government to resume the league on June 8, 2020.
Okay.ng recalls that the league was suspended on March 12 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, on Saturday, May 23, La Liga via its Twitter handle said they have gotten the green light from the Spanish government to resume action.
“The Spanish government has given the green light for the return of professional sport – including #LaLigaSantander and #LaLigaSmartBank – as of June 8th, following guidelines from the Ministry of Health,” the league tweeted.
