Instagram has introduced a new resource for users experiencing issues with their accounts.
The new page, located at instagram.com/hacked, offers help for users who have forgotten their password, lost access to two-factor authentication, or have had their account disabled. It can also be used by users who believe their account has been hacked or if someone is impersonating them on the platform.
To use instagram.com/hacked, users can enter the URL into their mobile phone or desktop browser. They will either be automatically logged in or taken to a login screen where they can enter their username, email, or phone number. If they have multiple accounts associated with their information, they will be able to select the one they need help with.
Once the relevant account has been selected, users can choose the specific issue they’re experiencing and follow the steps provided to recover their account.
Instagram’s goal with this new resource is to help as many users as possible quickly regain access to their accounts.
