Wizkid, the award-winning Nigerian musician, made a surprising announcement at a recent concert in Lagos.

Speaking to his fans, he declared that his upcoming performance, titled “Vibes on the beach with Big Wiz,” would be the last time they would ever have to pay to see him perform in the city.

The announcement came after Wizkid faced backlash for originally stating that the concert would be his last performance in Lagos.

However, the musician explained that some fans had “misquoted” his remark and that he had intended to convey his gratitude for the love and support shown to him by his fans in the city.

“With the kind of love that you guys show me, it is very unfair to do shows around the world and come back and still make you guys pay to watch me perform,” Wizkid said.

“So, I want to make a promise tonight, this would be the last time you are ever gonna pay to come to Wizkid’s show.”

The news was met with excitement and appreciation from Wizkid’s fans, who took to social media to express their gratitude. The “Vibes on the beach with Big Wiz” concert is scheduled to take place on December 30th, 2022.
