Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has taken down all political posts from her Instagram page, including those relating to herself and her principal, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, better known as Jandor.
Akindele and Adediran contested the governor and deputy governor positions, respectively, in Lagos state under the People’s Democratic Party.
Okay.ng understands that this is coming hours after the conclusion of the governorship election in Lagos State which was won by Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the election after he polled a total of 762,134 votes, which was more than twice the number of votes obtained by his closest rival, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, who scored 312,329 votes.
Jandor came in third place with 62,449 votes.
It is not clear whether Akindele’s decision to remove the posts is a permanent one or whether she plans to re-post them at a later time.
