In a thrilling twist to the ongoing Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) All Stars edition, ex-housemates are set to make a grand return as jury members for evictions.
The new development was announced by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the BBNaija host, during the first live eviction show on Sunday night.
Ebuka revealed that the traditional nomination process has been scrapped.
Instead, housemates will now have the chance to market themselves and convince their fellow housemates to nominate them for staying in the house, rather than leaving.
“After the head of house game and the black envelope game, housemates would have the opportunity to sell themselves and pardon one fellow housemate,” said Ebuka.
“This replaces the usual nomination show. Instead of going into the diary room to nominate who you want to see leave the house, you would nominate who you want to see stay in the house.”
The show’s dynamics will take another exciting turn from next week, as a jury of ex-housemates will be introduced to decide who leaves the show among the bottom two or three housemates.
Ebuka unveiled this new development, stating, “Starting next week, we will have judges on this show, a jury from Big Brother composed of ex-Big Brother housemates. I will present them with the bottom housemates based on the votes, and the jury must deliberate and vote to decide on who should be evicted.”
The BBNaija All-Stars edition, which commenced on July 23, welcomed 20 former housemates back to the famous BBNaija house.
This season’s winner will walk away with a staggering cash prize of N120 million, making it the highest payout in the history of Big Brother Naija.
With the stakes higher than ever, the All-Stars edition is set to captivate audiences until its grand finale on October 1.
