On Friday night (March 6), a police officer in Madison, Wisconsin fatally shot 19-year-old Anthony Robinson. The New York Times reports that Robinson, who was black, was unarmed.
“The initial finding at the scene did not reflect a gun or anything of that nature that would have been used by the subject,” Madison police chief Mike Koval told reporters.
According to Madison’s local news affiliate WMTV, the officer was called when Robinson was jumping into traffic. The officer then followed Robinson into an apartment, and shot him after a struggle broke out.
