The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has issued a stern warning to officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) against using his name for extortion and other corrupt practices.
Egbetokun emphasized the importance of upholding integrity and professionalism within the force.
In a statement released on Wednesday by Muyiwa Adejobi, the Force spokesperson, the IGP urged Nigerians to report any incidents of extortion by police officers to the appropriate authorities.
He assured the public that any officer found guilty of exploiting his name for fraudulent activities would face severe sanctions.
