Barcelona’s head coach, Xavi Hernandez, has reaffirmed his decision to step down from his role at the end of the season.
Following Barcelona’s impressive 4-0 victory over Getafe on Saturday, which marked their fourth win in five LaLiga matches, the Catalan club now finds itself in second place in the league standings, trailing table-toppers Real Madrid by just five points.
Despite the team’s commendable performance and their strong position in the title race, Xavi remains resolute in his decision to depart from the club.
When questioned about any regrets regarding his impending departure, the Barcelona manager responded firmly, stating that he believes his choice is the correct one.
“No, quite the opposite,” Xavi asserted. “The decision is very correct because the team has taken a step forward.”
“I am very convinced of the decision. Not for me, but for the club,” Xavi affirmed. “And thank the fans from the bottom of my heart for being by my side.”
