Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has unveiled ten armoured personnel carrier vehicles to enhance security operations across eight local government areas in the state. The deployment aims to support the ongoing joint operation involving the police, army, and the Katsina Security Watch Corps.
During the ceremony held at the Katsina Government House, Governor Radda reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing necessary resources to combat insecurity, emphasizing that the launch of the armoured vehicles fulfills a key campaign promise.
He expressed gratitude for the progress made since the inception of the joint operation, highlighting the state’s determination to address security challenges effectively.
Governor Radda underscored the significance of the vehicles in bolstering security efforts and restoring peace to the affected areas. He reiterated his administration’s dedication to supporting security agencies and empowering local communities to safeguard lives and property.
In response, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Nasiru Danmusa, hailed the initiative as a crucial step towards combating insecurity. He emphasized the administration’s prioritization of security, noting the significant strides made in curtailing banditry and restoring normalcy in previously affected LGAs.
