The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the establishment of a tripartite committee tasked with simplifying visa procedures and acquisition for investors interested in investing in the country.
The announcement came from Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, following the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held on Tuesday, presided over by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Addressing reporters after the FEC session, Minister Idris highlighted the need to streamline Nigeria’s visa processes to facilitate investment and promote the ease of doing business in the country.
“Our visa processes are becoming cumbersome… The ease of doing business is also tied to our visa processes,” stated Minister Idris.
“Going forward, those investors, tourists would find it easy to acquire a visa within the next 48 hours.”
