Nigerian comedian and actor, Isaac Olayiwola, popularly known as Layi Wasabi, has shared his unique perspective on relationships, stating he doesn’t believe in the concept of a “girlfriend.”
Appearing on the recent episode of the ‘Is This Seat Taken?’ podcast, hosted by actress Chinasa Anukam, Layi elaborated on his preference for the term “partnership” over “girlfriend.”
“I don’t believe in the concept of a girlfriend. I believe in partnership. I don’t believe in that phase of girlfriends. I start with courtship. I have to see the wife in the person from the beginning,” Layi explained.
The host, Chinasa Anukam, noted, “That speaks a level of focus. That’s fine.”
In addition to his views on relationships, Wasabi disclosed that he has only been on dates four times. He also shared that his ideal partner is a tall woman, emphasizing that height is the first thing he notices in women.
Layi Wasabi’s popularity has soared recently, culminating in his winning the Best Online Content Creator award at the just concluded 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
