The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that its airstrikes have killed over 80 terrorists and destroyed more than 45 motorcycles in Katsina State. The operation, conducted on June 15, targeted a terrorist hideout in Faskare Local Government Area.
According to a statement by NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, AVM Edward Gabkwet, the strikes were carried out after intelligence reports indicated that over 100 terrorists were burning houses in a nearby settlement. The terrorists were traced to a location near Gidan Kare Village, where they converged with other cohorts.
The NAF aircraft struck the location at 9:40 pm, killing over 80 terrorists and burning about 45 motorcycles. The statement added that the strikes have disrupted terrorist activities in the area and were linked to notorious terrorist kingpin Yusuf Yellow and his associate Rabe Imani.
