President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. During the meeting, he swore in eight newly appointed Federal Permanent Secretaries.
The ceremony began with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, announcing that the FEC meeting would be held in two segments: the swearing-in of the new Permanent Secretaries and the Council meeting. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, then called out the new perm secs, read their citations, and administered the oath of office, which was presided over by the President.
