President Bola Tinubu received Letters of Credence from the Ambassadors of Portugal, Vietnam, and Kuwait at the Presidential Villa on Thursday. He called for increased economic value in bilateral relations between Nigeria and these nations.
President Tinubu emphasized the importance of localized production and partnership in oil and gas with Portugal. He also expressed Nigeria’s readiness to benefit from Vietnam’s automating skills and technology in the manufacturing sector.
With Kuwait, the President appreciated the long-standing good relations and extended his gratitude to the Emir and Crown Prince. He reiterated his open-door policy, encouraging the Ambassadors to reach out to him through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and his Chief of Staff.
The Ambassadors expressed their countries’ interests in strengthening economic ties with Nigeria, with Portugal being a significant buyer of Nigerian gas and Vietnam seeking to improve relations. Kuwait’s Ambassador assured the President of his commitment to enhancing bilateral ties for mutual benefit.
