The House of Representatives has warned that it will call for the dismissal of Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), if he continues to undermine the operations of the Dangote Refinery.
Deputy Spokesman Philip Agbese made this statement on Saturday in Abuja, alleging that NNPCL and the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) are working against the refinery’s success.
Okay.ng understands that the House has already supported calls for the removal of NMDPRA’s CEO, Farouk Ahmed.
Agbese accused NNPCL and NMDPRA of orchestrating demarketing campaigns to discredit the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, causing nationwide panic.
He emphasized that the House will not hesitate to demand Kyari’s removal if the sabotage continues, as the refinery is a vital national asset.
