The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has rescheduled the 299th Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting, initially slated for February 17 and 18, to now hold on February 19 and 20, 2025.
In a statement issued on Monday, the apex bank confirmed the new dates for the crucial policy meeting, which will take place at the CBN headquarters in Abuja.
“The 299th meeting of The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) is scheduled to hold as follows,” it reads.
- Day 1: Wednesday, February 19, 2025 – Time: 10:00 AM
- Day 2: Thursday, February 20, 2025 – Time: 8:00 AM
This will be the first MPC meeting of 2025, which was originally set for January 27 and 28 before being moved to February.
The MPC, led by CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso, is the highest policy-making body of the bank, responsible for key monetary policy decisions that influence Nigeria’s economic direction.
