A court in Lagos has cleared former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode of fraud charges levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Fani-Kayode was discharged and acquitted on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, after presiding judge, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, held that the prosecution’s case was “feeble”.
Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia also said that the prosecution had failed to provide “copious evidence” linking the former minister to money laundering.
