BBC has announced it will be launching a digital service in Pidgin and Yoruba in Nigeria.
The media house also plans to launch a TV service in Somali, and radio and digital services for Ethiopia and Eritrea.
The announcement comes after the UK government agreed to invest around $128m (£85m) a year in enhancing BBC services around the world.
The corporation presently reaches 308 million people worldwide, and it hopes to increase the number to 500 million by 2022.
