Nigeria U23 team have progressed to the final of the CAF U23 championship after beating Senegal 1-0 in the first semi final on Wednesday evening.
The Dream Team VI have also qualified automatically for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
Oghenekaro Etebo scored from the spot in the 76th minute to give the Samson Siasia-led U23 team the victory and will await the winner from the second semi final between Algeria and South Africa later in the evening.
Senegal ended the game with a man down after losing a penalty kick earlier in the game after the referee controversially awarded a penalty to the Senegalese.
Meanwhile, the host country still have a chance to qualify if they will win the third place game.
