Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) has been ranked as the best university in Nigeria for the third consecutive year, according to the 2024 Times Higher Education Impact World universities ranking. The university also emerged 4th in Africa and 142nd among 2,152 ranked universities worldwide.
The Founder, Chief Afe Babalola, disclosed this on Sunday, June 23, while briefing journalists in Ado-Ekiti. He attributed the university’s success to its quality curriculum, stable academic calendar, and commitment to academic excellence.
ABUAD also ranked first in the world in Social Development Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and was recognized for its outstanding performance in outreach programs and stewardship, with a score of 98.2% in the impact ranking.
Babalola encouraged the university community to continue striving for excellence, urging them to see the current ranking as a call to duty to become number one globally in all areas. He also thanked the staff for their relentless efforts and dedication to making ABUAD a renowned institution in the educational sector.
