The leader of Niger Delta People Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Alhaji Mujaheed Asari Dokubo has no apologies for his recent inflammatory statement on the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. He is even confident that no matter what happens, Jonathan would coast to victory in 2015.
The ex-militant, who also supports the declaration of State of Emergency in some parts of the North restated this in an exclusive phone chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly.
On the allegation that he has been bought over by Aso Rock, Dokubo laughed it off, saying it is only natural to work for his Ijaw (Niger-Delta) brother.
The ex-militant and self acclaimed human rights activist had, weeks back, insisted that President Goodluck Jonathan must take a second shot at the Presidency to avoid imminent war!
Asari Dokubo had also boasted that no one can arrest him.
In another report, Dokubo had sensationally said he is disappointed in the conduct and political activities of embattled Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi. He blamed the rift between him and President Jonathan on Amaechi, insisting he is a traitor. Asari Dokubo’s grouse is the re-election of Governor Amaechi as Chairman, Nigeria Governors Forum in a tension-soaked election held in Abuja on Friday, May 24. A faction of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has since rejected Amaechi’s victory, insisting that Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang is the authentic chairman of NGF.
