Hotly anticipated Marvel tentpole, Avengers: Age of Ultron has passed censorship in China and is billed for release on May 12, 2015.
The interesting thriller which stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth and Samuel L. Jackson, is set to be released in the world’s second-biggest film market as the movie is currently been translated and imported by the state-owned China Film Group, Mtime.
Directed by Joss Whedon, the sequel to 2012’s The Avengers also stars Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgard, James Spader, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Mark Ruffalo.
According to THR, the first instalment of the franchise brought in $84 million in box-office revenue in China.
Meanwhile, Avengers: Age of Ultron hits U.S. theaters on May 1, 2015 while it opens in the U.K. and India theatres on April 24, 2015.
