Gareth Bale is an important player at Real Madrid and the European champions are not willing to let go of him, the club’s head coach, Zinedine Zidane, said on Monday.
The Madrid tactician was responding to comments made by Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho that he desires to bring the Welshman to Old Trafford.
The United boss, however, said he would wait to see the Wales international’s role in the game before making up his mind on whether to go after the forward.
But Zidane said his team’s focus is the game against the Red Devils and not whether Bale would leave the Spanish capital or not.
Both gaffers were speaking ahead of their sides Uefa Super Cup game on Tuesday.
