President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday evening congratulated the the Super Falcons of Nigeria after beating South Korea 2-0 at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
Okay.ng gathered that the president through his official Twitter handle disclosed that he watched the match after the Democracy Day Lunch.
Buhari commended the team and coaching crew for the “well-deserved win” in honour of the country “on a very special day”.
“I’m pleased I was able to watch the Super Falcons match against South Korea, after the Democracy Day Lunch. Congratulations to the Team and Coaching Crew. A well-deserved win on a very special day for Nigeria. We are all proud of your victory,” he tweeted.
