Dana Air has announced that it has temporarily disengaged some of its employees pending the conclusion of an ongoing operational audit by regulatory authorities. This development was revealed in a statement issued by the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Kingsley Ezenwa, on Saturday.
According to the statement, the audit is a joint effort between Dana Air and regulatory authorities to ensure strict adherence to all required standards and regulations. The airline expressed appreciation for the resilience and dedication of its staff during this period of uncertainty and assured them that every effort is being made to resolve the situation promptly.
Dana Air also reiterated its commitment to working closely with the authorities to facilitate a seamless and prompt resolution of the audit. The airline has initiated discussions with lessors and is actively involving stakeholders in the ongoing progress.
The development comes after the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority suspended the Air Operators Certificate of Dana Air in April following an incident at the Lagos airport. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the airline is awaiting the outcome.
