He praised Tinubu’s visionary leadership and prompt attention to details, which played a crucial role in overcoming obstacles and accelerating the actualization of the project.
“We thank President Bola Tinubu for his support and for making our dream come true. This production, as witnessed today, would not have been possible without his visionary leadership and prompt attention to details,” said Aliko Dangote.
He also expressed gratitude to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Limited), the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), and the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) for their steadfast support throughout the journey.
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has received six million barrels of crude oil at its two Single Point Moorings (SPMs) located 25 kilometers from the shore. The refinery’s truck-loading gantries can load 2,900 trucks a day, and the products will adhere to Euro V specifications.
Dangote expressed his joy and fulfillment with the accomplishment, describing it as a game-changer for Nigeria. He highlighted the refinery’s compliance with international emission norms and the use of state-of-the-art technology in its design.
“I must extend our sincere appreciation to our bankers and financiers, both local and offshore, who demonstrated a great deal of patience in seeing us through many difficult times,” added Dangote.
He also thanked the Government of Lagos State, led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for their proactive measures in resolving challenges encountered during the project’s execution.
Dangote expressed gratitude to host communities, traditional leaders, and the refinery’s staff for their contributions to the success of the project.
