Nigerian superstar Davido has dropped his highly anticipated fourth studio album Timeless today, March 31, 2023.
Timeless is Davido’s first project since his critically acclaimed 2020 album A Better Time, which spawned hits such as “FEM”, “Holy Ground” and “The Best”.
The new album showcases Davido’s versatility and growth as an artist, as he explores different genres and sounds, from Afrobeats to Amapiano to R&B.
Some of the notable guest appearances on the album include British rapper Skepta, Beninese legend Angelique Kidjo, Nigerian rising stars Asake and The Cavemen, South African sensation Focalistic, and Jamaican dancehall star Dexta Daps.
The album’s lead single “Champion Sound”, featuring Focalistic, was released in November 2021 and became an instant hit across Africa and beyond.
Announcing the release of Timeless via his social media pages, Davido said:
“At long last – WE are back. The journey from my last album to this album has been a whirlwind to say the least. I recall sitting and staring over the ocean not too long ago, wondering if I could get here again, after all I’ve been through… but with your love and support, we made it. I’m not sure what comes after this but I wanted to give you my heart, soul and energy. Today I present you “TIMELESS”. ⏳
