Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has announced the immediate removal of Dr. Samuel Alli as Commissioner for Health. According to a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, Dr. Alli is expected to hand over all official documents and resources to the most senior officer in the ministry of health.
The decision is reportedly part of Governor Obaseki’s efforts to ensure optimal service delivery in the remaining four months of his administration. The Governor expressed gratitude to Dr. Alli for his service and wished him well in his future endeavors.
No official reason has been given for Dr. Alli’s removal. The Edo State government has yet to announce a replacement for the former Commissioner.
