The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced its plan to auction the $40 million (about N14.4 billion) jewelry, recovered from a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of EFCC, disclosed this during a press conference at the commission’s head office in Lagos.

He said that EFCC has invited ‘internationally certified’ auctioneers overseas for auctioning of the forfeited properties.
The EFCC boss said 242 trailers and tankers recovered from internet scammers will also be auctioned off.
