Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has disengaged a traditional ruler and a senior traditional official for alleged extortion.
The Emir took the decision after receiving an investigation report on the allegation levelled against the traditional title holders.
The disengaged men are the Village Head of Hungu, Ibrahim Shehu, and the Ward Head of Zangwan, Galal Nadabo Adamu.
Shehu and Adamu were allegedly involved in a syndicated case with a Police Inspector, Umaru Abubakar.
According to reports, they allegedly collected over N50,000 from the mother of an accused, Hauwa Sule, in Albasu area of the state.
It was gathered that N33,000 had already been collected out of the N50,000 from the mother of the suspect.
