Former President Olusegun Obasanjo paid a visit to First Lady Oluremi Tinubu at her Lagos residence on Monday to celebrate the Sallah holiday.
The visit was confirmed by the First Lady’s spokesperson, Busola Kukoyi, who shared a photo of the two leaders on social media.
This gesture comes despite Obasanjo’s recent criticism of the Tinubu administration’s handling of the fuel subsidy removal and the floating of the naira.
The former president had stated that while the policies were necessary, they were poorly implemented.
Despite their differences, the visit suggests a cordial relationship between Obasanjo and the First Lady. No further details of their meeting have been released.
