Manchester United will host Fulham in an all Premier League FA Cup quarter final after leaving it late to knock out West Ham United.
Said Benrahma put the visitors in front early in the second half on Wednesday night before a Nayef Aguerd own goal levelled the tie. Alejandro Garnacho scored as the clock ticked to 90 before Fred rounded things off with almost the last kick of the game to send United through.
Their reward is a home tie against Fulham, who beat Leeds United on Tuesday, with the fixtures set to take place on the weekend of March 18-19.
Manchester City, who were comfortable winners over Bristol City this week also earned a home draw with Vincent Kompany’s Burnley coming to the Etihad. The Clarets are top of the Championship and the City legend will bring his side back to Manchester in the quarter finals after they beat Fleetwood Town 1-0.
Elsewhere, Grimsby Town’s reward for knocking out Premier League strugglers Southampton with a sensational 2-1 success on the south coast was a trip to fellow top flight side Brighton. The remaining tie is an all Championship affair between Sheffield United, who beat Tottenham Hotspur, and Blackburn Rovers who knocked out Leicester City.
