The Federal Government, Labour, and Private Sector have resumed wage talks after the suspension of the indefinite strike by the Organized Labour.
The Tripartite Committee on Minimum Wage met at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja, with representatives from the Federal Government, including the Ministers of Finance, Budget, and Labour, and leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC).
The meeting is a continuation of negotiations for a new minimum wage, with President Bola Tinubu directing the committee to speed up the process and commit to a wage above N60,000. The Organized Labour has suspended its strike, and the committee is expected to meet daily for one week to reach an agreement.
