Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has elevated his former chief of staff, Sir Jude Ejiogu, and named him as the new secretary to the Government of Imo State.
In addition to being chief of staff, Ejiogu was also the commissioner of special duties in the first tenure of Gov. Okorocha.
Following the announcement, Ejiogu has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Governor and the people of Imo for the elevation.
He stated this in a release signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Ikenna Onuoha and made available to newsmen in Owerri.
Ejiogu maintained that the number of congratulatory letters in form of text message, newspaper publication, and by mail received in commemoration for his new appointment has made him to understand the level of love the people of the state have for him, assuring them of his total commitment to continue to work for the good of the state.
The statement reads in part, “I am overwhelmed by the level of encomiums poured on me by the good people of the state especially, the Media Houses due to the role I have been playing in the sustenance of good governance which our amiable Governor Rochas Okorocha practices. Your congratulatory messages have re-awakened my strong passion to continue to do good, having seen that it pays to do good, as demonstrated by your commendations.
“May I humbly assure you that the trust you repose in me will always be sustained without any taint. Be rest assured that I will not disappoint you in my new position as Secretary to the Government of Imo State, since I did not disappoint in my previous positions”.
