At least four students from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, were abducted during an attack on their residence by suspected gunmen on Tuesday morning. Nasarawa State Police Spokesperson Ramhan Nansel confirmed this incident in a statement released on the same day.
According to Nansel, the abduction took place around 12:55 am when armed individuals stormed the students’ lodge situated in Anguwan Kaare, Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The statement reads: “The command is aware of kidnapping at about 12:55 am as a distress call was received that a house located at Angwan Kaare, Keffi was invaded by unidentified armed men.
“The police in collaboration with the military, responded accordingly and combed the area, but to no avail.
“The commissioner of police has ordered a manhunt for the culprits with a view to rescue the 4 victims unhurt.”
